OYAK Cement Group, capacity and market leader in Turkey, finished its efforts in relation to Aslan Çimento, Lafarge Ereğli Öğütme Tesisi (Grinding Plant) and Lafarge Beton, businesses of Lafarge Group decided to be disposed of towards end of 2008, and signed the agreement for the acquisition of said businesses 30 April 2009.

OYAK Cement Group, most liquid group in cement sector, continued to capitalize on acquisition opportunities appearing in the last years and decided to acquire Lafarge Marmara Group which it considers best for the Group. We wish that, said companies achieving a sales figure of 1.8 million tons of cement and 1.2 million m3 of ready-made concrete in Marmara and Western Black Sea in 2008, would be beneficial for all investors.
